If you are looking for an affordable CNA training program then community college is the way to go. There are several accredited community colleges that offer CNA training programs throughout United States. Most of these community colleges have similar program requirements.
In most states, you need to be at least 18 years old in order to be eligible for the community college's CNA program.
The applicants must have at least a high school diploma or equivalent GED and should provide the official transcripts and documents during the enrollment of the program.
The students need to have a satisfactory GPA of at least 2.0. The students with grade C or better performance on the health related subjects are given top priority.
You must pass the criminal background check and drug test in order to apply for the program. During the admission you may be asked to provide an evidence of recent immunization and full body examination.
Some top community colleges may require students to have previous experience on the nursing field. A volunteer work in the patient care field will prove that you are capable and enthusiastic about the program.
